A social gathering intended for the celebration and recreation is known as a ‘party’. While there are some common things, ‘party’ denotes a smaller gathering for a personal occasion of gaiety. Parties are very helpful in offering opportunities for the social interaction of the various kinds, depending on the participants and their understanding of the accepted behavior for a specific occasion.
Parties may be thrown for celebrating the personal events such as on birthdays, passing an examination, wedding anniversary, success in business or sports, getting a job/ better job, being released from the hospital, graduation from a school, etc.
A birthday party is a celebration that is to celebrate the birth of the person being esteemed. The birthday party is the most celebrated event in the world. A kid’s party is usually at home and it consists of the soft drinks and sweet food as well as savory, and adults celebrate in clubs with a buffet of the savory food and alcohol.
Birthday parties are often accompanied by the colorful decorations. A traditional birthday cake is served with the candles that are to be blown out after making the birthday wish, which is a secret and represents some desire for the current birthday and the next.
While before the cutting of the birthday cake, the song of ‘Happy Birthday To You’ is sung. Birthday parties can also be an event planned through a special agency or through a party service. Birthday presents and gifts are presented to the birthday girl or boy. Sometimes a theme is suggested for the birthday party, and party is decorated and celebrated according to that theme.
