Halloween is popular tradition celebrated on the night of October 31, mostly in United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Peru and now-a-days, Australia and New Zealand also celebrates it, even the Western Europe. There are many traditional activities including costume parties, watching horror films, and going to ‘haunted’.

People use to decorate their houses and yards, and decorations are jack-o-lantern, witches, scarecrows, orange and purple string lights, inflatable decorations such as the pumpkins, spiders, mummies, vampires and other monstrous creatures and animatronics window and other door decorations. Foam tombstones and gargoyles are also the popular decorations. Kids as well as adults, both enjoy Halloween.

Halloween parties are also a popular part of Halloween celebration. The people living in the country hold Halloween parties, often with a bonfire or, the older Irish custom of building two bonfires, with the celebrants passing between them. These Halloween parties usually involve games like bobbing for apples, a snipe hunt or searching for candy in a similar manner to Easter egg hunting, a haunted hayride accompanied by a scary story and one or more costumed people hiding in the dark to jump and scare the riders, and treats of candy.

People also like to watch the scary movies. The kids are picked up by their parents at the pre-determined times, and sleepovers are also included in the parties. Trick-or-treating is one of the enjoyable activities of the Halloween, and these may end early at night. Halloween costume parties are a good opportunity for the young people for getting together, sharing a keg and a good time.
